The Department of Statistics at Stanford University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in any area of Statistics or Probability, broadly understood. Applicants should exhibit the potential to run a world-leading independent research program and should possess good communication skills and a commitment to teaching and mentoring. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D in statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline at the time of appointment and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The term of appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2026. $ 133,900 - $162,740 for the academic year 2025-26. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, and internal equity.
