Safety & Compliance Manager – Marine & Coastal Construction
Location:
Stoughton, MA (with travel to regional job sites)
Compensation:
$80,000 – $100,000 annually + full benefits A well-established marine and coastal infrastructure contractor is seeking a
Safety & Compliance Manager
to lead health and safety operations across its dynamic and growing portfolio of job sites. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building a proactive safety culture while ensuring full compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. This is a high-impact position where you'll work closely with field teams, project leadership, and executive management to champion best practices, conduct inspections and audits, lead training efforts, and support incident response and reporting. What You’ll Do:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and programs tailored to marine and heavy civil construction
Perform jobsite audits and inspections to identify risks and ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific regulations
Conduct safety trainings and toolbox talks for crews and supervisors
Lead incident investigations and maintain documentation for regulatory and internal reporting
Coordinate closely with project managers and field leadership to integrate safety into all planning and execution phases
Maintain accurate safety logs and deliver regular reports on performance metrics and trends
Advise on new safety technologies, methods, or tools to enhance risk mitigation
Support workers’ compensation case management and return-to-work coordination
Act as a trusted resource and mentor to promote a culture of accountability and safety-first decision-making
What You Bring:
4+ years of experience in a safety leadership role in construction or heavy civil environments (marine construction preferred)
Proven knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards
Experience conducting audits, developing safety documentation, and training field personnel
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence diverse teams
CPR Certification (Required)
OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Able to travel regularly to job sites throughout the Northeast
