Quarles & Brady LLP seeks a Biotech Patent Agent or Scientist to join our national Intellectual Property group practice, preferably in Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago. A Ph.D. in life sciences or biology is required, with experience in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, virology, microbiology, or plant molecular biology/genetics. Candidates with 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience are preferred. The candidate must have a strong academic record, enthusiasm, and commitment to succeed at this firm. Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, transcripts, and a writing sample (up to 5 pages of legal or scientific writing).

We offer competitive salaries, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including paid time off, health, vision, dental, 401k, life, and disability insurance. Benefit eligibility depends on hours worked. Compensation ranges from $100,000 to $140,000 in Chicago and Washington D.C., and from $100,000 to $130,000 in other locations.
