American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and BLS certification.Job Details•Work in an acute Family Birthing Center with LDRP (Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum), Mother/Baby, and OBED beds,•Unit includes 7 LDRP beds, 4-8 overflow postpartum beds, 2 OBED beds, 1 OR suite for C-sections, and a 2-bed NICU for newborn stabilization,•Caring for patients 35 weeks and above; preterm patients under 35 weeks are transferred to higher level care,•Handles approximately 70-80 births per month; includes NST antepartum testing averaging 60-70/month,•Labor ratios are 1:2, with 1:1 at delivery; 1:4 ratio for Mother/Baby couplets,•GE fetal monitors and Fetalink EFM system used; Cerner EMR in use,•RNs titrate pitocin and occasionally insulin drips,•12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required; holiday coverage rotates with core staff,•May float to other local facilities; rare mid-shift float may occur,•On-call and standby assignments possible; 30-minute response required,•OB physician on site 24/7; anesthesia is on-call with 20-minute response if not present,Job Requirements•Active RN license (state or compact); pending licenses not accepted,•Minimum 2 years of recent experience in LDRP or L&D with OR circulating required,•Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN Advanced EFM),•Must have direct experience with fetal monitoring, newborn resuscitation, and titration of obstetric medications,•Must be comfortable acting as primary RN at delivery with no in-house pediatric coverage,•Must provide two professional references: one supervisor reference from within the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the past 3 years,•Candidates may not have been directly employed (FT, PT, or PRN) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past 12 months,Additional Information•Responsibilities include comprehensive care for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients, including twins and high-risk cases,•Must be able to circulate in the OR for C-sections,•RNs may be the primary clinician for newborn resuscitation until physician arrives,•No nurse aides (CNAs) on unit; one OB Tech per shift provides assistance,•Respiratory therapist attends every delivery for neonatal support and manages ventilators, CPAP, and bubble CPAP as needed,•First to float among travelers; team-based environment with charge nurse or manager on every shift,•Sterile technique testing and basic/advanced dysrhythmia exam may be required during orientation,•Scrubs should be provided per unit policy,),•hash,:•13046707289833165376,
