Job Description
The industrial automation industry Automation & Control Systems Engineer will:
- Design and program PLC, HMI, and motion control systems for advanced manufacturing equipment.
- Develop, test, and commission new control architectures for custom machinery.
- Integrate robotics, sensors, and vision systems to enhance automation capabilities.
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing control systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams on system design and integration.
- Prepare documentation, including electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and field service as needed.
- Contribute to Lean and CI initiatives aimed at increasing uptime, throughput, and system efficiency.
The Successful Applicant
The automation and manufacturing industry ideal candidate will:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
- Have 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or control systems design .
- Be proficient in PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with robotics integration, vision systems, and motion control.
- Be familiar with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools.
- Show strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Be able to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
