Automation & Control Systems Engineer
The industrial automation industry Automation & Control Systems Engineer will: Design and program PLC, HMI, and motion control systems for advanced manufacturing equipment. Develop, test, and commission new control architectures for custom machinery. Integrate robotics, sensors, and vision systems to enhance automation capabilities. Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing control systems. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams on system design and integration. Prepare documentation, including electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and field service as needed. Contribute to Lean and CI initiatives aimed at increasing uptime, throughput, and system efficiency. The automation and manufacturing industry ideal candidate will: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field. Have 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or control systems design. Be proficient in PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms). Demonstrate hands-on experience with robotics integration, vision systems, and motion control. Be familiar with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools. Show strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Be able to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
