Accounts Receivable Specialist
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing major retail accounts, interfacing with various departments to address queries, manage AR aging, and inform management about collections and outstanding claims status. The role involves interfacing with customers regarding past due accounts and requires familiarity with retailer software and reports to ensure timely payments, identify account issues, and address possible deductions. The specialist will provide financial, analytical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate deduction resolution and reconciliation for accounts. This position requires reviewing and processing invoices and claims, resulting in payment application, credits, denial, and collection of balances. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, account managers, and other employees and departments by phone and email.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and reconcile various aging to ensure billing accuracy.
- Conduct advanced research and analysis on Post Audits, both proposed and taken.
- Reconcile payments received to identify discrepancies and determine if deductions are pre-approved, creating and collecting unapproved deductions.
- Provide detailed analytical reports identifying payment and deduction patterns.
- Consistently communicate with retailer accounting departments and TracFone Sales regarding past due amounts, providing a chronological sequence of communications of items discussed and actions taken.
Essential Skills
- Accounts receivable expertise.
- Collection and claim management experience.
- Minimum of 4 years in Accounting/Accounts Receivable experience required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically advanced level in Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of OFS and Noetix skills preferred.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as analysis of variance, graphs, and distribution.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
- Trustworthy with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Medley, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
