Crafco, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler - Stockroom at our equipment plant in Chandler, AZ. The Material Handler for Stockroom and parts pulling is responsible for efficiently handling, verifying, and storing incoming materials, that subassemblies are stored correctly, and ensuring that manufacturing departments are supplied with necessary parts. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations, material/inventory accuracy, and workflow within the company. Specific Duties include: Parts Pulling & Work Orders:
Work with Buyer/Planner to release work orders. Use a computer (SAP) to manage job number, part number, and descriptions from work orders. Pull parts based on work orders and ensure the accuracy of quantities, descriptions, and storage locations. Use a computer (SAP) to locate parts and update their status after they are pulled. Follow protocols for missing parts, completing Assembly Shortage sheets when necessary.
Receiving & Inventory:
Safely unload and store incoming materials, verifying identification, and quantities. Inspect for damage, quality, and discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly. Store and organize inventory in designated locations using computer (SAP) and internal systems. Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
Computer skills & Documentation:
Computer experience is a must. SAP and Microsoft Office a plus. Use SAP (C019, MIGO, MM03, MD04) for time tracking, material management, and inventory updates. Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all data is correctly recorded and filed.
Material Handling & Equipment:
Operate forklifts, carts, and other equipment safely to transport materials and parts. Ensure safe handling and storage of parts, preventing damage during transportation or storage. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and stockroom, contributing to the overall efficiency of the stockroom.
Support Manufacturing:
Expedite material shortages to ensure production is not delayed. Assist in the movement of subassemblies from the shop floor and ensure proper storage in assigned areas. Collaborate with other departments to ensure high operator and machine efficiency.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE. Ensure materials are handled and stored in a safe and appropriate manner. Charge propane tanks when necessary and maintain the cleanliness and mechanical condition of forklifts.
Qualifications include, but not limited to: High School Diploma or GED 3 years relevant experience preferred Collaborative, works well in team-oriented work environment Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments Familiarity with inventory management and material storage procedures 2-3 years of experience operating a forklift or willingness to become forklift certified Basic computer skills required, familiarity with MS Office and SAP a plus Strong organizational skills Proper use of measuring tools, tapes, and gauges Ability to meet physical requirements of the position including: standing, or walking both indoors and outdoors for extended periods and potentially adverse weather, bending, squatting or remaining in uncomfortable positions, repetitive lifting, carrying, and moving materials up to 50 lbs., as needed Able to work first shift; 6:00am -2:30pm Monday through Friday Ability to work overtime, if required About Crafco, Inc.
