Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position Data Analyst within our New York Power Authority team.
Client Details:
The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is the largest state public power organization in the United States, renowned for its role in providing clean, affordable, and reliable energy. NYPA's mission is to power New York with clean energy while driving economic growth and sustainability. It focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, modernizing the state's energy infrastructure, and promoting energy efficiency and innovation across sectors
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and document detailed data requirements and the data flows. Identify relevant data attributes from internal data sources and document inputs, outputs and associated source-to-target data mapping. Document key processes and workflows around data acquisition, integration, cleansing and monitoring. Investigate and validate data from different sources, checking for completeness & accuracy as well as analyzing patterns & trends in data. Identify data issues and assist in manual/automated data remediation efforts. Creating appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary. Qualifications:
Experience in analyzing data from various sources and formats, and applying data insights to cleanse and transform data into a standardized format MUST HAVE a working knowledge of SQL, writing SQL queries and proficiency in MS Excel. Experience in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns relating to key performance indicators in complex data sets. Experience in creating and maintain technical documentation for various systems, services and business processes. Experience in assessing data quality on various data sources and coordinates with Business & IT in the correction of source data or creation of translation sources, where applicable. Experience in authenticating and interpreting data based on results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and a member of a multi-function team Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, Math, Statistics or related field or equivalent with around 6+ years experience in data analysis and interpretation Experience on any BI tool. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in implementing Energy Management solutions (Preferred) The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly range is $57.00 - $67.00.
