What you Will Do
Carpe Data is seeking a Technical Project Manager to play an integral role on an agile team of engineers, quality engineers, data analysts, and product owners to drive technical initiatives forwardoften with evolving scopes and varied resources. In this position, you will report to the Lead Technical Project Manager and will partner with stakeholders across the organization to build alignment, unblock teams, and deliver value efficiently. You thrive in fast-paced environments, adapt quickly, and know when to step in or step back to keep projects moving.
This hybrid role is Tuesday-Thursday in our downtown Santa Barbara Headquarters and Monday/Friday remote.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to enable effective communication and alignment.
Support execution of the Product Roadmap by developing Release Plans with engineering leadership.
Clearly communicate objectives, timelines, and milestones throughout the organization.
Ensure on-time delivery of project goals and commitments to stakeholders.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to track success and identify areas for improvement.
Identify and implement improvements to processes and workflows for increased team efficiency and predictable delivery.
Lead and manage Sprint execution, track progress, and prioritize work based on business needs.
Provide regular project status updates to company leadership.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, blockers, or dependencies.
Manage multiple simultaneous project plans across cross-functional squads.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Skills and Experience for Success in This Role
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 4+ years of technical project management experience.
4+ years of Agile software project delivery experience, with deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Proven self-starter with strong ownership and stakeholder management.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities across concurrent projects.
Technical acumen or experience collaborating closely with engineering and data teams.
Effective collaborator across cross-functional teams.
Outstanding facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to pivot quickly and refine processes as needed.
The base salary range for this full-time position represents the expected range for candidates who meet the listed qualifications and experience. Total compensation will be determined based on various factors, including individual skills, experience, and location.
