We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented VP of Finance to join our rapidly growing e-commerce eyewear brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, an understanding of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Amazon, and expertise in QuickBooks. This role will play a pivotal part in overseeing the company’s financial health, providing strategic financial insight, and supporting sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage financial data from e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon), ensuring proper recording and reporting.
  • Review monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze financial results, trends, and KPIs to provide insights that support strategic decisions.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with leadership.
  • Partner with external tax advisors to ensure compliance and minimize tax liability.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial risk.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed on changes in accounting standards, e-commerce tax regulations, and financial compliance practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and executive leadership to align financial strategy with company goals.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Proven experience in an e-commerce or retail environment
  • Strong understanding of Shopify, Amazon, and QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with sales tax obligations for e-commerce sellers
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
