The Tax Senior Manager for High-Net-Worth Individuals ensures the effective and efficient delivery of high-quality tax services to the firm’s high-net-worth clientele. This role involves preparing and analyzing complex tax records and reports, managing local, state, and federal tax compliance, engaging in proactive tax planning, and collaborating with clients’ other professional advisors. The Tax Senior Manager also provides training, supervision, and review of team members’ work, participates in business development activities, and contributes to the strategic growth of the Wealth Management Department. ️ What You’ll Do

Serve as primary engagement manager for assigned clients, with responsibility for billing, realization, and collections. Develop and execute a business development plan focused on attracting and retaining high-net-worth clients and identifying opportunities for additional services. Prepare, review, and present complex individual and related entity tax returns, including estates and trusts. Lead tax planning and consulting engagements, including presentation of tax planning strategies. Represent clients in IRS and state tax examinations; manage appeals, settlements, penalties, and interest matters. Supervise, mentor, and develop Managers, Senior Accountants, and other team members using REDW’s candor and curiosity coaching model. Collaborate with clients’ other professional advisors to integrate tax strategies into their overall wealth and financial planning. Present in-house training on advanced or specialized tax topics related to high-net-worth individuals. Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations impacting high-net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts. Assist department Principals in the strategic development of the Wealth Management Department. What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA license required; Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation is a plus. Minimum 7 years of professional experience in tax and/or wealth management with a focus on high-net-worth clients. Minimum 5 years of supervisory and team development experience. Significant experience managing complex individual, trust, and related entity engagements. Market presence and proven track record in developing and managing client relationships. Securities industry experience is a plus. What Sets You Apart

In-depth knowledge of individual, estate, trust, and business taxation principles. Expertise in tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and complex family structures. Strong financial planning knowledge, including coordination with investment, legal, and estate planning advisors. Experience representing clients in IRS and state tax examinations. Proficiency with CCH or comparable tax preparation software; experience with financial planning tools preferred. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
