Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
2nd Shift Print Supervisor
to oversee and coordinate printing operations during the second shift. This role is responsible for managing a team of press operators and support staff, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day print production activities on the 2nd shift, ensuring schedules and deadlines are consistently met. Lead, coach, and support press operators and production staff to maximize performance and maintain a positive work environment. Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed. Ensure all jobs are completed to meet customer quality standards and specifications. Collaborate with scheduling, prepress, and finishing departments to optimize workflow and reduce downtime. Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Enforce and promote workplace safety, ensuring staff follow proper guidelines and protocols. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a print or manufacturing environment strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of printing processes, press operations, and related equipment. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in maintaining production records and basic computer skills.
