Duties/Responsibilities Collaborates and coordinates with Sales, Planners/CSR’s, customers, vendors and staff. Coordinates with planners for efficient cost options and may recommend changes or improvements. Makes recommendations on production process and equipment based on job parameters, volume and cost. The Estimator must regularly analyze customer needs, technical and commercial printing constraints and company resources/capabilities then choose among several alternative courses of action to select the best cost proposal Able to work with abstract designs and create a rough “plan” for job production and will exercise the use of creative problem solving skills Sensitive to the protection of the organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality Work efficiently and effectively to assure completion of estimates to meet customer demand Performing other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by the manager

Qualifications Educational/Training Requirement: High School Diploma Technical School training desired Bachelor’s Degree preferred Experience:

3 years Preferred Preferred Education and Experience Print Estimating and/or Job planning experience is preferred Knowledge of color, paper, and print-flow operations highly recommended (including offset and digital sheetfed, digital webfed, wide format, bindery, finishing and direct mail. Knowledge of operations from layout to post press including finishing and mail is preferred Familiar with Print MIS systems desired, EFI Monarch or PSI Solid working knowledge of printing/finishing processes, paper, ink, computer operations as well as the competitive market and purchasing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Skills include Organizational, Customer Service, strong problem solving, analytical and multitasking abilities Excellent math skills and measure in applying customer specifications including algebra, equations and geometry Proficient in MS office, particularly excel and word and EFI Monarch software Strong oral and written communication skills Critical thinking skills, problem solving, logical and practical Working independently or with a team Conscious of Quality, Safety and Security Flexible and able to work with deadlines, work load requirements and able to prioritize estimates based on customer and production demands Adaptability Attendance/Punctuality
