American Traveler is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist with 5 years of both adult and NICU experience for 12-hour variable shifts.Job Details•Work in a hospital setting covering adult, Level III NICU, and potentially pediatric patients in the emergency department,•Care provided across the floor, ICU, NICU, and ER,•Manage approximately 20 respiratory therapy treatments per shift,•Use a range of equipment including Servo I, S, U; V60; HT-70; ResMed; Optiflow; Volara; Therapy vest; and SIPAP,•Perform specialized procedures such as neonatal ventilation, BUBBLE CPAP, high flow, and jet ventilation,•Schedule consists of variable 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend required,•No on-call, standby, or floating requirements,•No block scheduling; scheduling managed by department supervisor,•Typically 4 or more RTs scheduled per shift,Job Requirements•Active VA license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable),•Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) considered only with 10+ years experience,•Minimum of 5 years of experience as a respiratory therapist,•Experience required with both adult and NICU populations,•Proficiency in neonatal ventilation, BUBBLE CPAP, high flow, and jet ventilation,•Ability to perform and manage aerosol treatments, BiPAP, ABGs, ventilator management, HFNC, CPT, and respiratory assessments,•Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP,Additional Information•Must be able to assist with intubations (not required to intubate independently),•Responsible for the management of airway and delivery of nitric oxide therapy,•Provide COPD education to patients as needed,•Supervised by a charge therapist or supervisor; work with hospitalist or intensivist in-house,•Steel grey scrubs required,•About one week of department-specific and general hospital orientation provided,•Holiday coverage requirement includes one major and one minor holiday,),•hash,:•16973249929454067547,
