American Traveler is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist skilled in adult and NICU care with at least 5 years of experience and active VA licensure.Job Details•Work in adult, Level III NICU, and potentially pediatric ER settings,•Covers floor, ICU, NICU, and ER,•Handles a patient load of approximately 20 treatments per shift,•Responsible for aerosol treatments, BiPAP, ABGs, ventilator management, HFNC, CPT, airway management, and nitric oxide therapy,•Experience with neonatal ventilation, BUBBLE CPAP, high flow, and jet ventilation required,•Utilizes equipment including Servo I, S, and U, V60, HT-70, ResMed, Optiflow, Volara, Therapy vest, and SIPAP,•Varied 12-hour shifts,•Weekend work required every other weekend,•No floating, on-call, or standby call responsibilities,Job Requirements•Active VA Respiratory Therapist license required for consideration (license required if applicable),•Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; CRT accepted only with 10+ years of experience,•AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP required,•Minimum 5 years of experience as a respiratory therapist,•Experience in both adult and NICU settings required,•Must be able to assist with intubation but not perform independently,Additional Information•Role includes COPD education, respiratory assessment, and management of respiratory conditions,•Join a team with supervisor or charge therapist present and typically 4 or more RTs per shift,•Department-specific orientation provided, typically one week including general hospital orientation,•Steel grey scrubs required,•Coverage of one major and one minor holiday expected,•Hospitalist or intensivist support available on-site,),•hash,:•3571534173096288597,
