Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical nursing to join our dynamic healthcare team on a 7-South unit. Our unit is primarily focused on orthopedic and trauma patients, providing a comprehensive range of care in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 34
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 Registered Nurses, 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), 1 Unit Clerk
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 Registered Nurses, 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care within our telemetry unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs using advanced equipment, including Welch Allyn Vital Signs and GE Telemetry Monitoring.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide effective care plans for patients.
- Perform specialized procedures such as wound vac management, CPM machine operation, external fixation, and bracing.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using MediTech.
Qualifications:
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Med/Surg experience is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications.
- Outgoing and team-oriented personality is essential for fitting into our unit culture.

- Scrub Color: Navy (Uniform standards must be adhered to).
