The successful candidate will oversee all HR aspects, including policy development, recruitment and retention, classification and compensation, benefits administration, performance management, and workplace culture initiatives. This role also involves serving as the chief HR advisor, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and leading a staff of 14. The Executive Director will collaborate with the Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer to foster a diverse and inclusive community and will be actively engaged in institutional governance and decision-making. Applicants for the Executive Director of Human Resources position at the company should have a Master's degree or higher, a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, with at least 5 years at a leadership level, and a proven track record of effective interaction with stakeholders. Knowledge of federal and state HR legislation, as well as experience in strategic and operational HR practices, is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in higher education, particularly in working with unions and collective bargaining, and familiarity with faculty personnel processes. A HR certification and a Juris Doctorate are preferred qualifications. The role requires a leader who can champion a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and who is adept at managing and developing a team to meet the institution's HR objectives.
