About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Corporate Tax to lead and oversee the development and execution of the corporate tax strategy, ensuring compliance and effective planning across various tax areas. This includes federal and multi-state income tax, ASC 740 provisions, and M&A due diligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and developing a small team, driving innovation in the tax function, and modernizing systems and processes. Collaboration with finance, IT, treasury, and operations is essential, as is the ability to present to executive leadership and the Board. Candidates for the VP of Corporate Tax position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' progressive tax experience, with a background that includes time at a Big 4 firm and in a publicly traded company. Deep expertise in federal and multi-state tax compliance and provision, particularly ASC 740, is required, along with a proven track record in transactional tax work, including M&A due diligence. Strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset are essential, as is the ability to drive initiatives independently and influence at the executive level. Experience in international tax, especially with Canadian operations, and hands-on involvement in tax technology implementation are considered advantageous.
