The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President and Executive Director to lead its Los Angeles site. The successful candidate will be a visionary change agent, responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the organization. This role involves uniting a wide range of public and private stakeholders, including school leadership, community and corporate partners, government representatives, individual donors, and foundations, to advocate for educational opportunity and student success. The Executive Director will also serve as a Senior Vice President for the national organization, strengthening the connection between national initiatives and local work. The ideal candidate will be a natural coalition-builder, people developer, and influencer, with a strong focus on the development of the next generation of leaders.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include ensuring the achievement of impact, revenue, district partnership, and external relations goals, as well as leading efforts to boost the organization's visibility and brand awareness. The role requires a leader who can inspire the community, offer vision, and find common ground to mobilize powerful coalitions. The Executive Director will be the primary champion of the organization's impact locally, leading the efforts to keep students in school and on track to graduate college and career-ready. They will also be responsible for the sustainability and continuity of the site, investing in the development of a dedicated and talented Senior Leadership Team, and working in partnership with the Board of influential leaders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. The position demands a candidate with a deep sense of urgency around the organization's work in the community and the ability to recognize and enhance the relationship between the site's contributed revenue and its educational outcomes.
