This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional with a passion for real estate law, providing legal counsel for both commercial and residential real estate transactions. The firm represents a wide variety of clients including financial institutions, developers, businesses, and municipalities. Duties: Advise clients on commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development. Handle real estate finance matters, including mortgage lending and related negotiations. Represent clients such as developers, investors, businesses, and financial institutions in various real estate projects. Work closely with closing teams, overseeing non-attorney closing personnel to ensure smooth and accurate transactions. Assist clients with regulatory compliance, zoning issues, and real estate tax incentives (e.g., tax credits). Draft and negotiate legal documents, including purchase agreements, leases, financing agreements, and closing documents. Manage multiple transactions simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met. Stay up-to-date with real estate laws, regulations, and trends to provide proactive legal advice. Requirements: 3-7 years of experience in commercial real estate law. Expertise in acquisitions, sales, development, leasing, and real estate finance. Strong background in managing non-attorney closing personnel. Ability to handle complex real estate transactions with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. New York State Bar admission is required. Tax credit experience is a plus. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in New York State.
