About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chairperson for Engineering Technology. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, collaborative, and student-centered leader with a Master’s degree in engineering technology, engineering, or a related field. This pivotal role involves providing strategic and operational leadership for a portfolio of high-demand programs in engineering, manufacturing, and various engineering technology disciplines. The Chairperson will be responsible for developing a long-term vision for the department, guiding faculty development, fostering student success, and strengthening partnerships with industry, community, and academic stakeholders. Ensuring program excellence through curriculum innovation, accreditation compliance, and enrollment growth strategies is also a key aspect of the position.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' progressive leadership experience in engineering technology, applied engineering, or a related skills-based education program. The role requires the ability to support the strategic goals of the college, maintain a culture of respect, and uphold a safe environment of inclusion for all. The Chairperson will also be involved in operational leadership, including budget administration, faculty and staff evaluations, and maintaining an active, credentialed adjunct pool. Faculty support, student success initiatives, and leading the department in curriculum development and assessment processes are essential duties. The ideal candidate will have prior administrative experience in higher education and a strong commitment to the mission and vision of the college.
