About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chairperson for its Allied Health Department. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and student-focused leader, responsible for the strategic and operational management of a diverse portfolio of high-demand programs. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of a long-term vision for the department, ensuring program excellence through curriculum innovation and accreditation compliance, and leading faculty and staff in fostering student success. The Chairperson will also be tasked with strengthening partnerships with industry, community, and academic stakeholders, and will serve as a liaison between the department and other units of the institution.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in health sciences or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years' experience as a healthcare practitioner, and current, valid licensure or certification in the program area. The role requires a leader who can effectively manage departmental operations, including budget administration, and who is committed to maintaining a culture of respect and inclusion. The Chairperson will be expected to support faculty in their professional development, lead student success initiatives, and actively engage in the evaluation and approval of curriculum. A strong background in enrollment management, strategic planning, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners is essential.
