**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift (3x12.0)**
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a 8-13 week assignment. The RN plays a crucial role in maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed accurately. The successful candidate will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees while upholding the highest standards of patient and employee safety.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized plans of care. - Identify teaching needs and goals related to patients' diagnoses, collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. - Provide timely patient information and status updates for weekly Initial Team Conferences and Re-evaluation Team Conferences. - Maintain accurate, concise, and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in compliance with policy. - Actively participate in the rehabilitation program on assigned units, providing direct patient care through the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. - Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission in anticipation of discharge dates. - Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to relevant care providers, ensuring continuity of care and safety. - Offer direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques and effective prioritization. - Foster a positive and calm working environment by contributing to team-building activities and encouraging collaboration among staff, departments, patients, and families. - Maintain communication with management to address service needs, including supplies, equipment repairs, and staff training. - Assume charge responsibility upon successful orientation. - Pursue continuous professional development through ongoing education and self-study. - Prioritize activities and staff resources to effectively meet patient needs. - Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift. - ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific locations only). - Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is preferred.
