About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Bank Security Act Officer to take on a senior compliance leadership role. The successful candidate will be the principal Global Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Officer, with a focus on developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of the BSA Compliance Program. This includes modernizing compliance frameworks, risk systems, and processes, as well as ensuring AML requirements are met in countries outside the US. The role involves strategic compliance leadership, regulatory awareness, and the development of training programs to foster a strong culture of compliance. The VP will also be responsible for team leadership, budget planning, and will be expected to have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a substantive AML compliance role, with a strong background in U.S. and international AML/CFT laws and regulations.
Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (JD or MBA preferred) and be certified as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified BAS/AML Professional (CBAP). A background in the global financial services and banking industry is essential, with additional experience in AI and crypto being a plus. The role requires a proven track record in AML and sanctions compliance, including transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting, and due diligence processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and team development skills, the ability to think critically, and a collaborative approach to ensure alignment with senior leadership.
