Your impact Jacobs is seeking a Project Controls Professional to join our Water team in Miami, Florida, supporting a portfolio of dynamic and impactful water and wastewater infrastructure programs/projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, collaborative professional with a strong foundation in cost control, scheduling, and project documentation. As part of our dedicated project controls team, you’ll work closely with project managers, construction teams, and external partners to ensure accurate tracking, forecasting, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in helping deliver critical infrastructure that supports sustainable communities and resilient water systems across the region. What you’ll do Monitor project budgets and expenditures, track cost trends, and support monthly forecasting to ensure financial accuracy and transparency. Assist in managing change orders and cost impacts, maintaining clear documentation and communication with project teams and stakeholders. Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, invoices, schedules, and change logs, ensuring compliance with internal and client standards. Collaborate with schedulers and project managers to support schedule development, updates, and progress tracking using tools like Primavera P6. Prepare and deliver monthly reports on project performance, including budget status, cash flow projections, and risk assessments. Work closely with field teams, engineers, and vendors to gather data, resolve issues, and support project delivery in a fast-paced environment. Contribute to the development and refinement of project controls processes and tools, helping drive consistency and efficiency across the program. Support client-facing activities, including cost reviews, reporting presentations, and coordination meetings. Here's what you'll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, or construction project support, preferably within infrastructure or water/wastewater projects. Strong understanding of cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis. Experience managing budgets across multiple projects and supporting change control processes. Familiarity with maintaining organized project documentation and using digital tools to manage contracts, invoices, schedules, and change logs. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present financial and schedule data to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable supporting both field and office-based teams. Ideally, you’ll also have Experience supporting water/wastewater or other public infrastructure projects. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
