Jacobs is seeking a Senior Project Controls Professional to support our growing Water/Program & Construction team in Miami, Florida. This is a high-impact role where you'll lead project controls efforts across complex water and wastewater infrastructure programs. You'll be instrumental in driving cost and schedule performance, ensuring transparency and accountability across all phases of project delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings deep expertise in project controls, earned value management, and data-driven decision-making. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver critical infrastructure that supports sustainable communities and resilient water systems. What You'll Do Develop and implement project controls plans tailored to large-scale water/wastewater programs, ensuring alignment with client goals and Jacobs' delivery standards. Oversee cost engineering activities, including budget development, cost tracking, variance analysis, and forecasting. Build and maintain detailed schedules that are cost- and resource-loaded. Support multi-year planning and scenario analysis to guide strategic decisions. Apply EVM principles to assess project performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions. Supervise and mentor project controls staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Serve as a key point of contact for project controls, presenting updates and insights to clients and stakeholders at all levels. Collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation strategies and capitalize on opportunities. Leverage Jacobs' suite of project controls tools, including Unifier, E-builder, Kahua, and BI dashboards. Develop and maintain program-wide procedures for cost and schedule controls. Here's What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 15+ years of hands-on experience in project controls for large-scale infrastructure programs, ideally within the water/wastewater sector. Deep understanding of all core project controls disciplinescost engineering, scheduling, estimating, earned value management (EVM), and document control. Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules across multi-phase programs. Ideally, you'll also have: Solid understanding of operational business processes in the engineering and construction industry, especially within water infrastructure. Exposure to interoperability between project controls systems and enterprise platforms. Ability to develop and evaluate major program cost estimates and extended budget projections. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
