Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

Awetomaton Ltd . Awetomaton is seeking a Front-End focused Senior Software Engineer to support customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will interface with end-users to understand and refine requirements for applications supporting mission needs. You will apply your expertise in JavaScript and modern web frameworks to enable rapid search, discovery, visualization, and retrieval of data. The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree or higher in engineering or related field with 10-15 years of experience. This position will be largely onsite at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, with convenient access to nearby Beavercreek corporate headquarters for meetings and collaboration. An active Top Secret security clearance is required. Criteria for success
Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with peers & decision makers Demonstrate initiative when faced with limited guidance or ambiguous requirements Be an expert in modern web application technologies including TypeScript, React, NodeJS, etc. Experience deploying web applications via containerization Excellence in UI/UX design Required Experience and Skills
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a software-focused engineering career (Software Engineer, Computer Science, etc.) At least 5 years of experience developing web applications with React At least 5 years of experience in JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS/SASS/LESS, HTML Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline Mastery of software configuration management using Git Experience with container technology (Docker / Podman / etc.) Desired Education and Experience
Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field In-scope Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph Background in remote sensing technologies and sensors, especially with Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) systems 10 years of experience developing web applications with modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) 10 years of experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS / SASS / LESS, HTML Experience following GitFlow and GitOps workflows using team repositories (GitHub / GitLab / etc.) Proven excellence in UI/UX design Expertise with container technology (Docker / Podman / etc.) About Awetomaton
