One Stop - Student Specialist
The One Stop provides essential information, and problem resolution to students, parents/families, and the broader university community in the areas of registration, financial aid, billing, and payment. This position focuses on delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. It will allow students to gain applicable experience in customer service and office applications for resume building. Students will be expected to work a minimum number of hours during the academic year. Essential Duties
This position requires a strong working knowledge of One Stop's service areas. Student Specialists complete a comprehensive training program. Provide high-quality start-to-finish customer service. Answer questions on the phone, by email, or in person in the areas of registration, enrollment, financial aid, student records, and billing and payment. Assist with on-campus outreach and initiatives. Help assist students and parents in the One Stop lobby. Work on various tasks as assigned. Academic Year - Ability to work a minimum of 10-12 hours per week Summer, holiday, and break availability are a plus, but not required Minimum Qualifications
Past experience in a customer service/call center position is helpful. Sensitive to cultural diversity and able to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Accuracy, dependability, and confidentiality are critical. Ability to meet expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic, customer-oriented environment. Be able to work independently, possess good organization skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Preferred Qualifications
