The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Site Deployment Specialist to oversee the roll-out of electronic health record (EHR) software solutions at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). You will leverage your understanding of EHR systems, healthcare IT, project management, and software deployment processes. This role requires an execution-minded individual with the discipline to manage schedules, identify and mitigate risks, and a passion for improving healthcare for our veterans.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting critical path success by identifying and resolving site-level issues.
- Developing work plans and monitoring activities to ensure project success.
- Facilitating assessment, alignment, and optimization of clinical or functional areas for EHR Modernization pre-deployment.
- Coordinating functional workflow configuration projects and aligning stakeholders across clinical, technical, and executive levels.
You will apply principles of computer and information science to healthcare, including clinical informatics, and may mentor or supervise employees. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site work at Booz Allen or client facilities 20-50% of the time.
You Have:
- Knowledge of the end-to-end deployment process for VA clients in the EHRM program.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 75% of the time.
- Experience in evaluating and improving deployment processes.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in creating and maintaining detailed project plans and risk assessments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of health IT experience, or 15+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Additional Details:
Applicants will undergo a government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. Compensation ranges from $62,000 to $141,000 annually, depending on experience and location. The position is full-time, with a flexible work model supporting remote and onsite work as needed.
