Position Summary
Directs, manages, and executes administration of the real estate portfolio, including industrial leasing and property management; land acquisition, development, and sales; market and portfolio analysis; budget and transaction analysis, structuring, and management; and other responsibilities required in connection with ownership of developed and undeveloped properties.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Develop and help implement real estate operations and development plans, including identification of developable land opportunities, highest and best land uses, and infrastructure requirements
- Develop and implement administrative procedures for property portfolio, including leasing policies, standard terms, environmental and other compliance requirements, and required development standards
- Initiate and execute lease, purchase, and sale transactions
- Manage properties for conformance with lease and agreement terms and applicable environmental and other codes and regulations
- Assist with and carry out preparation and execution of transactions and other real estate and financial documentation
- Direct and manage staff, including delegating and monitoring work assignments and conducting performance evaluations
- Coordinate with operations, port and channel infrastructure, and other staff concerning operations, maintenance, and improvements
- Maintain effective relationships with local and regional stakeholders, including maritime facility and industrial real estate owners and operators, and development and brokerage community members
- Analyze and manage portfolio and asset financial and budgetary performance
- Participate as a member of the management team, supporting initiatives to achieve the strategic plan

- Perform other duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field from an accredited public or private institution required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of related corporate real estate or previous port real estate experience required
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Texas State Real Estate Broker’s License preferred
- Knowledge of real estate management, transactions, and operations, related to leasing, land development, acquisition and sales, and maritime and industrial business matters
- Knowledge of property management and leasing
- Knowledge of contract management and negotiation
- Knowledge of financial structuring, monitoring, and management
