Travel RN - Med/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position involving chemotherapy administration and trauma experience requirements.Job Details•Work in a combined Hematology/Oncology/Med-Surg unit, including Hematology and Cellular Therapy beds,•Rotating day and night shifts with 36 hours per week,•Patients include those with lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancer,•Care includes administration of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and radioisotopes,•Telemetry monitoring is required,•Unit consists of 24 Hematology/Oncology/Gyn Oncology and Med Surg beds, and 9 Hematology and Cellular Therapy beds,Job Requirements•Current RN license required, active and compliant throughout assignment,•BLS certification required,•Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the past 2 years,•Experience with chest tubes, drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), and care for post-surgical lines, tubes, and drains,•Ability to care for patients with trachs, laryngectomies, complex wounds, and central lines,Additional Information•Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, side effect management, and care for patients receiving radiation and radioisotope therapies,•Must be able to manage central lines including care, maintenance, and blood draws,•Will work with both hematology/oncology and general medical-surgical patient populations,•No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 75-mile radius,•Workload may include floating to similar units as required,),•hash,:•33064396395324510,
