Senior Data Engineering Lead

As a Senior Data Engineering Lead at Capital One, you'll spearhead significant transformations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement comprehensive technical solutions across various development tools and technologies.
Work alongside a team of seasoned developers specializing in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
Leverage programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python, alongside Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Redshift and Snowflake.
Stay updated on the latest tech trends, experiment with new technologies, engage with tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
Partner with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of Americans.
Conduct unit tests and collaborate on code reviews to ensure code is well-designed, expertly coded, and optimized for performance.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
A minimum of 4 years of experience in application development (Internship experience excluded).
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in application development, including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
4+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL).
4+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications.
4+ years of experience with NoSQL implementations (Mongo, Cassandra).
4+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake).
4+ years of experience using UNIX/Linux, including basic command line skills and shell scripting.
2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.

Compensation also includes potential performance-based incentives, which may involve cash bonuses or long-term incentives.
