The Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team is vital in developing and enhancing Capital One's core enterprise platforms. As a lead in this area, your contributions will shape the transformation efforts at Capital One.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate and lead Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
Work alongside a highly skilled team of developers specializing in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems.
Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python along with both Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, leveraging cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake.
Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, engage in tech communities, and mentor other engineers.
Collaborate with digital product managers to develop robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially.
Conduct thorough unit testing and code reviews with team members to ensure rigorous, elegant, and performance-optimized code.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum 4 years of application development experience (excluding internship experience).
At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies.
At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in application development with expertise in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
4+ years working with Distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL).
4+ years of experience in developing Real-Time data and streaming applications.
4+ years of NoSQL implementation experience (Mongo, Cassandra).
4+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake).
4+ years of UNIX/Linux experience, including basic commands and Shell Scripting.
2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.
