Direct message the job poster from ORENDA POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Product Development will be responsible for driving the end-to-end creation of innovative, high-performance products from concept through launch in the Cosmetics/Beauty/Fragrance Industries. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise, and cross-functional leadership, ensuring products meet Company and Brand standards for quality, performance, regulatory compliance, and market relevance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a deep understanding of formulation, packaging, and product lifecycle management, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has had previous experience in the Cosmetics/Beauty/Fragrance industry. This is a full-time (Monday -Friday) onsite role in our Greenwich, CT innovation workshop and headquarters. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Development Lifecycle Lead and support product development from ideation to commercialization for assigned categories and brands Translate multiple brand strategies, market trends, and consumer insights into viable product concepts Partner with external R&D, CM’s, Brand Marketing, and Packaging to ensure products meet performance, cost, and sustainability targets Responsible for client management at a leadership level driving new launch and replenishment execution Develops and implements strategies to increase quality and customization of products Attend meetings to assist in securing potential new business opportunities; Provide analysis and cost estimates when necessary Innovation & Trend Analysis Drive innovation by presenting new productconcepts, technologies and delivery systems to support client objectives while meeting P&L goals Research emerging trends, raw materials, technologies, and competitive launches Present innovative product ideas and technical solutions aligned with brand positioning Attend relevant trade shows Project Management Key input into timetable development. Manage PD detailed project timelines with Manager, Commercialization, ensuring all milestones are met on schedule and within budget Coordinate cross-functional communication and problem-solving to address development challenges quickly Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate client and market considerations into product development plans Manage external resources to ensure all PD projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget Travel as necessary for line trials, production startups, etc. Testing & Quality Oversee product testing, evaluation and stability processes in partnership with the contract manufacturers R&D, internal teams and Quality Assurance Brief appropriate suppliers on each project based on their capabilities around the specific design as well as cost, quality and speed Review lab batches, pre-production samples, and first production runs to ensure formula integrity and brand standards Regulatory Compliance Ensure products meet all global regulatory, safety and labeling, and sustainability requirements Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensurenecessary documentation Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards governing product development and processes QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and excellence Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable collaborating across teams and with external vendors Ability to work independently while driving cross-functional alignment Passion for beauty, wellness, and emerging industry trends Strong color eye – must pass a Munsell color test Strong knowledge of formulation types, raw materials, and manufacturing processes Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple launches simultaneously Ability to translate technical information into consumer-friendly language Ability to travel 10% Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Product Development, or related field; advanced degree a plus 5+ years of experience in product development, preferably in beauty, personal care, or consumer goods Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office and project management tools Familiarity with PLM systems a plus.
