This role offers the chance to build core systems and processes from the ground up, while establishing the foundation for long-term financial visibility and control. The Senior Accounting Manager will work closely with CFO and COO to design and implement accounting practices, manage reporting cycles, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on accounting expertise, strong organizational skills, and the motivation to grow alongside a rapidly scaling business. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations & Reporting Establish and manage the company’s in-house accounting function, implementing systems and processes for control and transparency. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, preparing accurate internal and external financial reports. Oversee AP/AR operations including invoice processing, collections, reconciliations, and transaction accuracy. Track project-level revenue and costs, maintaining accurate project-based accounting through the ERP system. Process Development & Leadership Design scalable accounting workflows to support a fast-growing organization. Partner with leadership to ensure financial best practices are aligned with business growth. Provide insight and analysis to support financial decision-making and operational improvements. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a start-up or growth-stage company. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage accounting processes end-to-end. Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards. Experience with ERP and accounting tools (e.g., Sage Impact or similar). Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. CPA preferred but not required. Background in retail, distribution, or project-based accounting is a plus. Financial modelling and forecasting experience is a plus. Sounds like you?
