Job Description:
ASenior Technical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning,execution, and delivery of complex technical projects. They play a key role inensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet thedefined technical quality standards. This position requires a strong blend oftechnical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope,objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals anddeliverables
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providingguidance and support.
Foster a collaborative and positive working environment tomaximize team productivity.
Technical Expertise:
Apply a deep understanding of technology and industry bestpractices to guide technical decisions.
Interface effectively with technical teams to translaterequirements into actionable project tasks.
Risk Management:
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Proactively address issues to ensure projects stay on track.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate project status, risks, and issues tostakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
Conduct regular status meetings and produce project statusreports.
Resource Management:
Allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
Collaborate with resource managers to ensure theavailability of necessary skills.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensuredeliverables meet specified standards.
Conduct thorough testing and validation processes.
Budget Oversight:
Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuringfinancial objectives are met.
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement andefficiency gains.
Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhancefuture project outcomes.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification orequivalent is highly desirable.
Several years of experience in technical project management,including leadership roles.
Strong understanding of software development methodologiesand technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, SoftwareEngineering, or a related field.
