UX/ Graphic Designer NYC, NY 12 Months Rate : $40/hr

The Transportaion client is looking for is Digital Services team is expanding and looking for a Lead Product Designer to connect with. Our team works on all the realtime screens in the subway, as well as the TrainTime app and a new app for the subway and bus.

We are looking for an NYC-based interaction designer with a strong visual eye and an interest in shaping the daily commute of 3M+ New Yorkers. If you love working on impactful projects with a smart, fast-moving team, we would love to chat.

Job Summary: UX/graphic designer for all our digital endpoints: web, Helium (*** app), TrainTime, screens.

Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end design process, from ideation through iteration to launch. - Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across digital platforms (including all signage for NYCT/LIRR/MNR). - Partner with UXR to understand rider needs, behaviors, and pain points; maintain a user feedback loop to continuously improve the experience. - Establish and document UX processes and best practices. - Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on user needs and business goals.

Experience and Education: - 8+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on mobile applications. - Proven experience leading UX for complex digital products. - Excellent visual design skills & experience with design systems. - **Preferred: ** Experience in the transportation industry or related fields; experience with accessibility guidelines.
