nWe are a rapidly growing food manufacturer specializing in ready-to-eat meals, salads, and side dishes. As we expand into a new facility, we are seeking an Electrical & Mechanical Engineer to enhance our production capabilities through advanced automation, control systems, and equipment reliability. This full-time position is for the first shift, starting at 7:30 AM and ending around 5:00 PM.
nOur ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with food manufacturing machinery, coupled with in-depth electrical knowledge. They must be capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, motors, conveyors, and other automated systems. Experience with facility power systems—120V, 208V, 240V, and 480V—is essential, along with familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations. A valid electrical license or certification is a strong plus.
nJob Summary
nWe are seeking an experienced Electrical & Automation Engineer to join our team. You will be directly involved with maintaining and improving our production machinery, designing and modifying electrical systems, and integrating automation solutions with an emphasis on food manufacturing requirements. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure uptime, product quality, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
nResponsibilities
nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on food manufacturing equipment.
nWork with PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and automation controls to maintain and improve production efficiency.
nPerform electrical installations, modifications, and upgrades for systems operating at 120V, 208V, 240V, and 480V.
nEnsure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new machinery and automation projects.
nMaintain detailed maintenance records and electrical schematics.
nProvide technical support to production and maintenance staff.
nAssist in developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical and automation systems.
nQualifications
nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training with relevant manufacturing experience.
nStrong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and codes, including 120/208/240/480V applications.
nHands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and integration.
nFamiliarity with VFDs, motors, conveyors, packaging machinery, and related food manufacturing equipment.
nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
nElectrical license or certification strongly preferred.
nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills.
nAbility to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic production environment.
