UI Engineer
to design, implement, and optimize
user interfaces
in Unreal Engine 5 for a large-scale AAA sports game. This role focuses on turning UX and visual designs into

design, art, and engineering

functional, performant, and polished in-game systems
, from menus and HUDs to broadcast-style overlays and dynamic matchday presentation. You’ll be the technical bridge between
design, art, and engineering
, making sure that the game’s UI is responsive, intuitive, and seamlessly integrated into gameplay. You’ll Work On:
Implementing
2D/3D UI systems
in Unreal Engine 5 using UMG, Blueprints, and C++ Building
HUDs, menus, scoreboards, overlays, and broadcast-inspired elements Creating
data-driven widgets
that update dynamically with game state (scores, timers, stats, player cards) Optimizing UI performance across PC and console targets (memory, draw calls, responsiveness) Collaborating with UX designers and UI artists to bring wireframes and mockups to life in-engine Supporting
localization workflows
for menus, text, and HUD elements in multiple languages Ensuring input responsiveness across controllers, keyboard/mouse, and other devices Integrating UI with backend systems (progression, matchmaking, squad-building features) Debugging and maintaining UI systems to ensure stability and clarity throughout development Requirements:
4+ years of professional experience as a UI Engineer in games Shipped at least 1
3D video game
(sports, action, or simulation preferred) Strong proficiency in
Unreal Engine 5
, especially UMG and Blueprint/C++ integration Solid understanding of
UI performance optimization
in real-time engines Experience with
data binding, event-driven UI systems, and state machines Ability to work closely with design and art teams to deliver polished, player-friendly interfaces Bonus Points:
Experience with
sports or broadcast-style UI systems Familiarity with localization pipelines for multi-language menus and HUDs Knowledge of animation and motion graphics integration (Niagara, Sequencer, or AE exports) Passion for soccer and sports video games This is a
hands-on engineering role
: you’ll be responsible for ensuring the game’s
menus, HUDs, and presentation systems are both technically sound and visually polished
, giving players a seamless experience from kickoff to final whistle.
