We’re looking for a

System Game Designer

to design and balance a large-scale

progression-based team mode

for a next-gen soccer game in Unreal Engine 5. This role is about building a system that lets players

collect, customize, and compete

with dynamic squads—while ensuring balance, engagement, and long-term replayability. You’ll be responsible for

economy design, player progression systems, and feature documentation

for a next-gen soccer game in Unreal Engine 5. This role is about building a system that lets players

collect, customize, and compete

with dynamic squads—while ensuring balance, engagement, and long-term replayability. You’ll be responsible for

economy design, player progression systems, and feature documentation

, working closely with design, engineering, and product leads to deliver a polished, rewarding experience. You’ll Work On:

Designing the

core loop

for a squad-building game mode (collect, upgrade, compete) Creating

progression systems

: player cards/items, leveling, rarity, and reward tiers Designing

match integration

: how progression ties into real matches, tournaments, and online play Balancing

economy systems

: drop rates, rewards, consumables, and seasonal content pacing Writing clear, detailed

design documents

covering user flow, UI requirements, and system logic Collaborating with UX, UI, and backend teams to ensure smooth integration into the game client Creating and tuning

engagement hooks

(daily/weekly challenges, seasonal events, ladders) Monitoring KPIs and feedback to adjust economy, progression, and balancing over time Requirements:

5+ years of game design experience with at least 1 shipped 3D title (sports, action, or simulation preferred) Proven experience in

systems or economy design

for live-service or progression-heavy games Deep understanding of

game economies, rarity distribution, and reward structures Strong ability to create and maintain detailed design documentation Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 workflows and Blueprint-driven prototyping Excellent collaboration skills with engineers, artists, and producers Bonus Points:

Prior experience designing

collectible/team-building systems

in sports, RPG, or competitive multiplayer titles Strong grasp of soccer culture and what motivates players to build dream squads Knowledge of F2P design strategies, seasonal content planning, and live-ops balance Passion for soccer, sports gaming, and competitive online ecosystems This is a
