The role you will contribute:

The Revenue Cycle Automation Developer provides analytical and robotic process automation (Automation) development expertise that will help drive the progress of all Revenue Cycle Automation initiatives. The role will collaborate extensively with peer Automation Developers, Revenue Cycle leaders across the front, middle and back Revenue Cycle, as well as IT teams to provide automation solutions that are aimed to increase revenue, reduce cost, improve accuracy, and improve operational productivity. Under supervision of the Revenue Cycle Automation Senior Manager, the Revenue Cycle Automation Developer will play a principal role in developing and implementing automations. The role involves collaboration with other Process Improvement and Business Support functional areas, including the Revenue Cycle and System SMEs team to justify and prioritize Automation projects; the Quality Audit, Training, and Education team to implement automations with workflows and train citizen developers; the Analytics team to track usage and financial impact of automation implementations. The Automation Developer will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to AHS Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

The value you will bring to the team:

Leads the technical development of Revenue Cycle strategic initiatives involving robotic process automation (Automation) and other Microsoft Power Platform solutions

Designs and develops complex multi-system and robotic process automations independently and collaboratively with Automation Developer peers

Collaborates with the Revenue Cycle and System SMEs team to

understand requirements and data flows and articulate solutions, risks, and challenges

help identify, evaluate, prioritize, and track automation opportunities across the enterprise by feasibility and potential impact

develop System Design Document (SDDs)

Collaborates with the Project Management team and provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) support in automation related projects

Collaborates with Vendor Management team when exploring new automation vendor opportunities in the market

Supports the Quality Audit, Training, and Education team during the development of end-user training for operating new automated process flows/platforms

Partners closely with the Revenue Cycle Analytics and Reporting team to design and create a mechanism to monitor and track Automation bot performance with an ongoing goal to achieve minimal errors and 100% uninterrupted task automation. Resolve and debug automation issues as they arise. Socialize findings with the Revenue Cycle and System SMEs team to help support the respective business case.

Maintains flexibility by coordinating with key stakeholders to address all product development challenges (may include project management, product/software design and development, user experience design, and business process management (BPM) strategies)

Provides technical guidance to resources with varying IT experience; participates in design discussions, drives technical Automation integration decisions across corporate and facility based Revenue Cycle teams

Supports Senior Manager in providing leading practice recommendations for creating and deploying citizen-led Automations into the Enterprise production environment

Collaborates with Corporate IT Automation team to align governance around Revenue Cycle Automation bot support and maintenance

Manages and supports the repository of AdventHealth Revenue Cycle Automation bots available to end users for self-service development. Assists with debugging and updating bots and components for use across the organization

Participates in process reviews to ensure the highest level of process understanding prior to automation and builds the Solution Design Document (SDD) as well as other relevant technical specifications as directed by the team leadership

Assesses automation opportunities from a technical feasibility perspective and aids Revenue Cycle and System SMEs to prioritize proposed solutions. Actively assists with both high-level and detailed build and implementation timing estimates based on complexity of solution for key Automation business proposals

Acquires, maintains, and continually increases knowledge around Revenue Cycle Automation integration strategies especially as it relates to new industry standard web development practices, security risks and evolving Corporate Responsibility policies and procedures

Researches automation opportunities and related market innovation and trends to align AdventHealth with leading Revenue Cycle practices

Strives towards meeting and exceeding productivity and quality expectations to align performance with assigned roles and responsibilities. Escalates concerns or difficulties in meeting performance expectations in a timely manner for management action

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Bachelors In Business Analytics, Information Management, Computer science or other related discipline Required

3 Work Experience Required

Ability to independently develop and implement robotic process automations

Advanced working knowledge of MS Power Platform applications (Power Automate, Power apps, Power BI) and best practice usage of built in application connectors

Mastery of MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook) and Database (MS SQL) integration strategies

Ability to develop and maintain versioning in a virtual machine environment

Advanced understanding and ability to execute business process management (BPM) techniques

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills

Intermediate knowledge of cross functional Revenue Cycle workflows

Working knowledge of common Revenue Cycle KPIs and Automation success metrics

Basic understanding of all relevant EPIC applications

Ability to communicate and collaborate with teams across the Revenue Cycle with varying technical background

Advanced working and demonstrable experience in more than one of the following: SQL (T-SQL, PL-SQL or similar) jQuery JavaScript

Experience with EPIC suite of reporting applications and capabilities

Experience with enhancing task automation with the use of advanced analytics (AI, ML and NLP) a huge plus

Solution design and development experience with major Automation vendors

Deep understanding of full automation lifecycle from design through support

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (MS PL-900) Preferred

Change Management Certification (PROSCI) Preferred
