**Job Title: Endoscopy RN (Travel Position)**
**Shift: 10-Hour Days with on-call requirements**
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team for a travel position. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing high-quality patient care, specifically in the field of endoscopy, including ERCP procedures. This position requires a strong foundation in nursing practices, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities:** - Provide nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, with a particular emphasis on ERCPs. - Administer conscious sedation medications and monitor patients during procedures. - Conduct patient assessments, gather health history, and perform post-procedure recovery for patients receiving conscious sedation. - Start IVs and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure. - Collaborate with the medical team to ensure effective patient care and adherence to protocols. - Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic medical records.
**Requirements:** - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an endoscopy or surgical setting, preferably within a large, teaching facility. - Previous travel nursing experience is required. - Valid AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications; AHA PALS certification preferred. - Proficiency in EPIC within the past 2 years is non-negotiable. - Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. - Reliable transportation is necessary, as public transportation is not accessible in the area.
**Additional Information:** - Orientation for new hires will take place bi-weekly on Mondays, with the next available date on October 6. - Please ensure that all work history information is complete, including facility type and EMR experience, to facilitate the submission process. Any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained. - COVID-19 and flu declinations will be accepted; documentation must be included in the application packet. - Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
