The Shipper and Loader is responsible for preparing, loading, and securing metal products for shipment while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency. This role works closely with production and logistics teams to maintain smooth outbound operations and deliver quality service to customers. Key Responsibilities
Prepare finished metal products for shipment according to work orders and schedules. Load trucks, trailers, or containers using forklifts, cranes, or other material-handling equipment. Verify product counts, sizes, and specifications against shipping documents. Secure loads with strapping, blocking, or banding to ensure safe transport. Complete shipping paperwork and maintain accurate records of outbound shipments. Inspect materials for damage or defects prior to loading. Follow all plant safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines. Keep loading and shipping areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in shipping, loading, or warehouse operations preferred. Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other heavy material-handling equipment (certification a plus). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order verification. Physical ability to lift, move, and secure heavy materials. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
