Job Description The Purlin Stacker is responsible for safely stacking, organizing, and preparing metal purlins for storage, transport, or further processing. This position supports production flow by ensuring materials are handled efficiently, securely, and according to company quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
Stack and organize purlins as they come off the production line. Inspect purlins for defects, damage, or irregularities before stacking. Secure finished bundles with strapping, banding, or blocking materials. Maintain accurate counts and verify product specifications against work orders. Assist in staging and loading purlins for shipment. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as needed (with certification). Follow all safety procedures when handling heavy materials. Keep stacking and storage areas clean and hazard-free. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in manufacturing, construction materials, or warehouse operations preferred. Ability to safely lift, move, and stack heavy materials. Strong attention to detail for quality control and accuracy. Good teamwork and communication skills. Forklift certification a plus.
