Local to Chicago, W2 ONLY - Senior Java AWS Developer, Hybrid (F-5159)

Myticas' direct client is seeking a Senior Java AWS Developer/Engineer, onsite/hybrid in Chicago, IL.

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder; no visa sponsorship considered.
• This position requires a 2-step background check (ANACI), which may take 6-8 weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Migration of complex, monolithic Java Spring applications to AWS with minimal downtime.
• Design and implement scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as ECS, RDS, S3.
• Optimize existing SQL-heavy data operations in AWS-managed databases.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Collaborate with teams to refactor legacy components, ensure security, scalability, and operational excellence.
