Job Description Description: We’re seeking a
Sr. Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
to own equipment performance, uptime, and safety at our high-throughput automated cannabis packaging facility. This is a critical role — you will not just fix machines; you’ll build the preventive and predictive systems and technical culture that scale reliability across shifts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, takes full ownership of outcomes, and understands that throughput and safety go hand-in-hand.
Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues across packaging lines Build and execute a proactive
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
program with strong documentation Conduct structured
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
for all unplanned downtime Maintain
critical spare parts inventory
and ensure rapid part availability Coordinate with OEM vendors, field techs, and engineering when escalations are needed Ensure compliance with
OSHA ,
lockout/tagout , and all safety protocols Train operators and mechanics on minor interventions and maintenance best practices Own equipment-related documentation (PM logs, RCAs, FMEAs, run logs, etc.) Requirements: 5+ years in mechanical or maintenance roles in
automated manufacturing environments Experience troubleshooting integrated systems (PLC, pneumatics, motors, sensors) Demonstrated ability to lead RCA and eliminate root causes Built or managed PM schedules and CMMS systems Comfortable training frontline operators and newer mechanics Strong written documentation habits: obsessive about run logs and maintenance tracking Startup or high-growth experience preferred — ability to work with urgency and autonomy
