Job Description Description: Position Summary Dove Robotics is redefining the future of automated cannabis co-packing with cutting-edge manufacturing technology and a relentless focus on quality, throughput, and culture. The Operations Manager is the driving force behind daily execution — translating executive strategy into precise, scalable operational performance. This role demands an expert in manufacturing and operations management (particularly Lean Six Sigma) who can balance world-class problem-solving, people leadership, and customer-facing communication in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Excellence & Throughput Own and execute daily/weekly production plans to meet output targets and OEE goals. Monitor, analyze, and improve throughput, changeover times, and downtime metrics. Implement Lean Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and continuously improve efficiency. 2. Strategic Execution & KPI Ownership Translate executive-level goals into clear operational objectives and actionable workflows. Manage P&L for operations, ensuring profitability through cost control and productivity gains. Track and report KPIs including throughput, OEE, first-pass yield, and on-time delivery. 3. Team Leadership & Culture Lead, coach, and inspire production supervisors, mechanics, and operational teams. Evangelize Dove Robotics’ culture, fostering ownership, accountability, and problem-solving. Build bench strength through recruiting, onboarding, and training top-tier manufacturing talent. 4. Quality, Compliance & Safety Enforce GMPs, safety protocols, and SOPs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Resolve quality issues at root cause to prevent recurrence. Drive 5S, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. 5. Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a trusted operational contact for customers, providing updates on timelines, quality, and performance. Partner with Sales, Engineering, QA, and Inventory teams to align operational capacity with demand. Ensure all customer commitments are met with precision and professionalism. Required Qualifications 7+ years in manufacturing operations leadership, ideally in CPG, food, or pharma Proven track record in Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, and through optimization. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and data-driven analysis skills. Experience managing a P&L and delivering measurable financial results. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence both internal teams and customers. Thrives in a high-velocity startup environment. Preferred Attributes Start-up or scale-up manufacturing experience. Familiarity with automated packaging systems and ERP/OEE dashboards. Requirements: HS Diploma or GED courses completed Ability to create and modify spreadsheets, using pivot tables, formulas (i.e. VLOOKUP, IF, AND, SUMIF, etc.), and graphs Ability to work at an intermediate level in METRC to create track and validate inventories and production Able to stand and walk the majority of the day Ensure all equipment is cleaned properly and preventive maintenance is performed. Basic knowledge of CCCM marijuana laws and regulations Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines by effectively managing day-to-day tasks, challenges, and priorities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrates strong oral and written communication with multiple departments and the support team Strong attention to detail and a team player mentality with strong organizational skills. Reliable, positive can-do attitude with a strong work ethic. Weekends and outside working hours will be required as needed, depending on workload 3+ years managing at a management level in a marijuana processing facility or in an Automated Packaging Facility. Associates Degree or higher level of education in an applicable field (business, business management, operations management, etc.) or related cannabis and or automated packaging experience.
