Mechanical Engineer
who thrives at the intersection of
hands-on engineering and inventive R&D . This role isn’t just about maintaining equipment — it’s about
pushing performance to the limit . You’ll work on developing and refining mechanical systems that drive throughput, reliability, and scalability across our lines. If you want to solve complex problems, design elegant systems under real-world constraints, and leave your mark on a fast-scaling startup, this is your opportunity. What You’ll Do Lead the design, prototyping, and refinement of mechanical systems with a sharp focus on maximizing throughput and reliability. Collaborate with automation, controls, and operations teams to integrate new equipment designs into production lines. Run structured experiments (DOE, root-cause analysis) to validate design improvements and drive continuous performance gains. Optimize existing equipment to minimize downtime, extend machine life, and scale production capacity. Document, test, and iterate designs rapidly — moving from concept to working systems with speed and precision. Stay plugged into the latest advances in robotics, automation, and mechanical engineering to keep Dove’s systems at the frontier. Requirements: Deep mechanical engineering expertise
with strong fundamentals in kinematics, dynamics, materials, and manufacturing methods. Experience in
equipment development, high-speed automation, or robotics
(CPG, packaging, pharma, or similar industries is a plus). A Lean / Lean / Six Sigma mindset
— you think in terms of throughput, OEE, and failure modes, not just machine parts. A natural problem-solver: you’re energized by diagnosing bottlenecks and designing creative, first-principles solutions. Hands-on builder: you’re as comfortable on the floor with tools as you are in CAD. Adaptability and drive to thrive in a
fast-paced startup environment , balancing precision with speed. Strong communication skills — able to work with operators, leadership, and even customers when needed. Preference given to a machine builder with strong design capabilities.
