This role involves floating to various units including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER, providing critical patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills: Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple units, including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER.- Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to various clinical settings and patient needs.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patient responses.- Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and adhere to safety protocols. Qualifications: - Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).- Minimum of two years of critical care experience, including floating to ICUs, ERs, and Med/Surg units.- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be obtained through the RQI system during clinical orientation) and NIHSS.- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire and CPI certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications: - Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) recommended within 2 years of hire.- TNCC certification recommended within 2 years of hire.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR). Skills and Attributes: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to teamwork.- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.- Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
